ABC and CBS News are reporting that the US Food and Drug Administration has recalled “a couple” of technical experts to help investigate the hepatitis outbreak in Hawaii for a possible link to the dietary supplement OxyElite Pro. The FDA is prioritizing the work of its investigators who have not been furloughed to investigate matters that require immediate attention.
In addition, the federal government has recalled furloughed workers with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to investigate recent outbreaks of disease, including to investigate if there is a link between cases of hepatitis and use of the dietary supplement OxyElite Pro.
