Quick answer: In September 2026, Centric Compounding of Houston, Texas recalled six lots of injectable vials: three of Glutathione 200 mg/mL, two of Myers’ Cocktail, and one of Tri-Immune Boost. The pharmacy says the products were compounded with a glutathione ingredient containing elevated endotoxin levels. They were shipped nationwide to patients’ homes and to prescribers. If you became ill after one of these injections or IVs, call 817-870-2102.

Myers’ Cocktail and Tri-Immune Boost
Many patients never ordered “glutathione.” They ordered a Myers’ Cocktail or an immune-boost shot. Those products are in this recall because they were made with the same glutathione ingredient. Myers’ Cocktail and immune-boost products made by other pharmacies are not part of it.
Reactions the pharmacy has reported
Centric Compounding says it has received nine reports of fever, chills, chest pain, nausea or vomiting, headache, and malaise.
The recall notice states that there is a reasonable probability that injectable products with elevated endotoxin levels could cause significant medical events including fevers, hypotension, inflammatory reactions, anaphylactic shock, and death.
If a recalled vial was shipped to you
- Stop using it.
- Photograph the vial label: lot number, beyond-use date, product name, and your prescription label.
- Call a lawyer before you throw it away. Centric has told consumers to discard affected vials. If you had a reaction, the vial and its label may be the best proof of what you received.
- Get medical care if you are unwell, and tell the doctor what you injected and when.
- Keep the paperwork: shipping box, packing slip, order emails, and messages with the prescriber.
Centric has directed recall questions to 833-777-6664, weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central.
Part of a larger pattern
Four Texas compounding pharmacies have recalled injectable glutathione since August 2026: Victory Medical Center Pharmacy, Optimal Balance Pharmacy, Centric Compounding, and Greenwich Rx. On August 27, 2026, the FDA said pharmacies tied to adverse event reports had obtained their glutathione from a single lot supplied by Medisca Inc., labeled dietary supplement grade. Centric’s notice does not name its supplier (what the FDA notice says). The CDC has reported more than 25 people sick in at least four states.
