Confidential Settlement Reached In Texas Oilfield Injury Lawsuit: Texas Oilfield Accident Lawsuit Settles Forty Days Before Trial

Saucier, Jr., Inc. in Pineville, Louisiana have settled an oilfield accident lawsuit on behalf of 29-year-old Michael Shelton.

On August 12, 2011, Michael Shelton was working as a roughneck involved in the rigging up process on an oil well site in Cuero, Texas. At the time, he was an employee of Big E Drilling Company, the company drilling the well for Petrohawk Energy Corporation, the operator of the lease. Defendant Fowler Transportation, Ltd. was the rig moving company involved in moving the rig.

Mr. Shelton was seriously injured when the roof of a mud tank was being positioned with a Kobelco CK 1000-II crane owned and operated by Fowler Transportation, Ltd.

The lawsuit was filed in the Eastern District of Texas-Marshall Division on behalf of Michael Shelton against Fowler Transportation, Ltd.
